Governor Greg Abbott has made new appointments to the Texas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board. Tony “Mark” Luna, Jr. and Clayton Ripley have been appointed, while Stephanie L. Robinson, Ph.D., has been reappointed for terms ending on January 31, 2031. The board is responsible for overseeing education, ethics, and certification or licensing of real estate appraisers or appraiser trainees.

Tony “Mark” Luna, Jr., based in Lubbock, serves as the managing director of Valbridge Property Advisors' Lubbock Office. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University.

Clayton Ripley from Austin is the vice president of HOLT Aerial and manages Town Lake Capital Management as well as Buffalo Gap Capital Partners and BGCP Holdings. Ripley is affiliated with the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and holds positions with the Texas Land Trust Council and All Saints Presbyterian Church. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University.

Stephanie L. Robinson, Ph.D., hails from McKinney and brings over two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and higher education consultant specializing in business and technology. She is actively involved with various public and nonprofit boards and has spearheaded initiatives in workforce development and strategic innovation. Robinson's educational qualifications include degrees in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management, Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas.

The appointments await confirmation by the Senate.
