Texas industry leaders engaged in a business roundtable with King Abdullah II of Jordan to explore ways to enhance the economic relationship between Texas and Jordan. The meeting aimed at discussing opportunities for expanding trade, research initiatives, energy partnerships, and business exchanges.
“Today’s gathering is an important step toward deepening ties with Jordan, a resilient economy with a thriving entrepreneurial culture and an expanding role in global trade,” stated Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson. She emphasized the potential benefits of strengthened Texas-Jordan partnerships.
Adriana Cruz, Executive Director of Texas Economic Development & Tourism, expressed her honor in hosting King Abdullah II alongside prominent Texas business figures. “As a top global destination for job-creating business investment and as our nation’s top exporting state, Texas truly competes on the international stage. Today’s roundtable discussion co-hosted with our economic development partners reflects our shared passion for expanding economic opportunity for all Texans.”

Participants included executives from various industries such as energy, crypto mining, semiconductors, defense manufacturing, and drone technology.
