Governor Greg Abbott has made appointments to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission. Tim Timmerman has been appointed, while Bobby Patton has been reappointed to serve on the commission. Their terms will extend until February 1, 2031. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission is responsible for managing and conserving the state’s natural and cultural resources and provides opportunities for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation to benefit current and future generations.
Tim Timmerman, based in Austin, is the owner of Timmerman Capital LLC along with other real estate investment and development entities. His current involvements include serving as president of the Colorado River Land Trust and holding board memberships in several organizations, including the Central Texas Community Foundation and YMCA of Central Texas. He has been involved with Texas A&M University and the UT Austin community, holding a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA from the respective institutions.
Bobby Patton, from Fort Worth, is the leader of Texas Capitalization Resource Group, Inc. He is engaged with multiple organizations, including the State Bar of Texas and several University of Texas boards and councils. Patton has a business administration degree from UT Austin, a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s Law School, and a Master of Laws degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.
Both appointments will require confirmation by the Senate.
