The Brays Oaks Management District Public Safety Committee held a meeting via Zoom video conference on March 05, 2025, at 11:30 am.
District Board and Committee members present: Ralph Rieger, Sheri Cortez, Marsha Fisk
Staff members present: Josh Hawes, Cosme Garcia, Andrea Duhon, Natali Hurtado
Public safety present: Cpt. Donovan, Sgt. Segura – HPD, Mike Laster – HCAO, Officer Thibeaux – HPD, Beau Moreno – HFD
Public present: Brenda Jackson, Cynthia Demery, Stephen Polnaszek, Doug Phillips, Tin DeFiore, HAA, Erika T., Mike Weingart,
Executive Director Andrea Duhon called the meeting to order at 11:32 AM, and the committee meeting adjourned at 12:01 PM.

4. Receive RCR Report
a. Ms. DeFiore gave an update on the RCR report and answered questions from the cmte.
5. Report from HPD (S. Gessner & Southwest) for the month of February.
a. Southwest

b. S. Gessner
i. Cpt. Donovan reported District 17 stats. A detailed report is available in the committee packet. He answered questions from the committee.
c. Bike & DRT
i. Officer Thibeaux provided the DRT report of activities.
6. Receive report on HPD Overtime Program
a. Officer Thibeaux reported the DRT overtime activity and answered questions from the cmte.
7. Discuss HPD request for support funding.
a. Officer Thibeaux reviewed the request for funding.
b. Director Moore asked for a consensus to move the item to the board for consideration. A consensus was gained and the item will be forwarded.
8. Receive HPD report from HFD.
a. Capt. Moreno reviewed the report and answered questions from the cmte.
9. Receive report from Harris County Attorney’s Office
a. Mr. Laster gave an update on the issues and actions taken in Brays Oaks MD. He advised Heights at Post Oak will provide an update on their efforts. A new file has been opened on another apartment complex, details will hopefully be shared at the next meeting.
10. Update from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office
i. Ms. Cortez updated the cmte. on the DA’s community engagement efforts.
11. Discussion & Recommendations
a. February Graffiti & Light Outage Report
i. Graffiti
1. Executive Director Duhon reviewed the graffiti report with the cmte.
ii. Light Outage Report
1. Executive Director Duhon reviewed streetlight report with the cmte.

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS:
• The committee recommends forwarding HPD request for support funding to the board.
