"Texas is within reach of the largest school choice program launch in the nation," Abbott stated, expressing his support for the committee's efforts. He noted that the advancement of the bill brings universal school choice closer to his approval.
Abbott credited Chairman Brad Buckley and the committee for their dedication, highlighting the extensive public testimony process. He also recognized the contributions of Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Speaker Dustin Burrows, and Chairman Brandon Creighton in promoting the bill aimed at granting school choice to Texas parents and students.
Abbott expressed anticipation for the swift passage of the legislation in the Texas House, asserting, "I look forward to its swift passage in the Texas House and signing this bill into law."
