Governor Greg Abbott has reappointed Kevin Scott to the Gulf Coast Authority Board of Directors. Scott's term is set to expire on August 31, 2026. The Gulf Coast Authority oversees water systems and manages water pollution and waste disposal within its district. It also conducts studies and research related to these areas.

Kevin Scott, from Santa Fe, is a co-owner and funeral director at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master of Science in Educational Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Funeral Director Certification from St. Louis Community College.

This appointment requires confirmation by the Senate.
