Governor Greg Abbott has made appointments to the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents. Doug McReaken and Donald R. Sinclair have been appointed, while Dusty Womble has been reappointed. Their terms are set to expire on January 31, 2031.

Doug McReaken, from Pearland, holds positions as chief operating officer and executive vice president at Media Riders, Inc., and is involved with several other companies including Sno Country, Inc., Texas Waste Co., and McReaken Agriculture, LLC. He also serves on the board for Kappa Sigma Texas Tech Southwest Education Fund and volunteers with organizations like the Houston Livestock Show. McReaken is an alumnus of TTU with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management.

Donald R. Sinclair, based in Houston, is a private investor with extensive experience in the energy sector. He sits on the boards of two energy companies and is involved with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors and the TTU Bob L. Herd Academy of Petroleum Engineering. Sinclair also has a history of leadership roles within TTU-related organizations such as the Rawls College of Business Advisory Council.

Dusty Womble from Lubbock co-founded Masked Rider Capital and chairs Service Compression, LLC. His previous affiliations include membership on advisory boards related to TTU's business school and foundation executive board. Womble continues his involvement through service on various boards including the BIG XII Advisory Board.

These appointments require confirmation by the Senate.
