Governor Greg Abbott has announced the appointment of Grace Yocum to the OneStar National Service Commission, with her term set to conclude on March 15, 2026. In addition, Governor Abbott has reappointed Ashleigh Feuerbacher, Annette Juba, Mike Morath, and Corina Sadler for terms that will end on March 15, 2028. The Commission is responsible for promoting volunteerism in Texas and managing the AmeriCorps programs within the state.
Grace Yocum hails from Round Rock and is currently pursuing a degree in management at Texas A&M University. She also minors in nonprofit and public service studies. Her experience includes working as a student intern at the Texas A&M Foundation, serving as a student program coordinator for The REACH Project, and chairing Client and Community Affairs at 180 Degrees Consulting.
Ashleigh Feuerbacher from Stephenville serves as vice president and chief project manager of the Stephenville Economic Development Authority. She participates actively in several organizations including the International Economic Development Council and Texas Economic Development Council. Feuerbacher volunteers with groups such as Stephenville Downtown Merchants and Erath County 4-H. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and is pursuing an MBA from Tarleton State University.
Annette Juba operates out of Austin where she works as deputy director for AGE of Central Texas. This non-profit organization focuses on assisting older adults along with their family caregivers. Juba's past roles include co-chairing the Aging Services Council and affiliating with UT Austin School of Social Work as a University Field Affiliate. Her academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Social Work from UT Austin.
Mike Morath resides in Austin and holds the position of Commissioner at the Texas Education Agency. Previously, he was part of the Dallas Independent School District Board of Trustees. He completed his education with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from George Washington University.
Corina Sadler comes from Plano where she manages volunteer resources for the City of Plano. She belongs to various associations like the National Association of Volunteer Programs in Local Government among others. Additionally, she contributes to committees focused on volunteer administration certification efforts while managing social media for Engage Journal. Sadler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Gerontology from the University of North Texas.
