De La Cruz comments on government funding through continuing resolution

Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz, representing Texas's Republican delegation, issued a statement following her vote on the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act. The legislation aims to fund the government through September 30, 2025.

De La Cruz emphasized the mandate from South Texans to pursue a conservative agenda focused on reducing waste and cutting down on tax dollar misuse. She stated that the continuing resolution extends government funding to facilitate efforts in reducing excessive spending, enhancing military defenses, supporting border patrol operations, and ensuring family access to necessary programs.

"The overall bill spends less while supporting core government operations and our national security," said De La Cruz. Despite expressing disappointment over the exclusion of FY2025 Community Project Funding from the legislation, she assured that her team remains vigilant in monitoring developments and working towards securing essential investments for local communities.
