Terrell earns film friendly status from state commission

The City of Terrell has been recognized as a Film Friendly Texas Certified Community, as announced by Governor Greg Abbott. This designation follows the city's completion of a multi-step training and certification process facilitated by the Texas Film Commission.

Governor Abbott expressed his congratulations, stating, "Congratulations to Terrell on earning the Film Friendly Texas designation and joining more than 175 other Texas communities that have received this recognition." He emphasized the potential benefits for local businesses and job creation through media production in these certified communities.

Senator Bob Hall also praised Terrell's achievement, noting its historical and cultural appeal. "I am proud to congratulate the City of Terrell on earning the prestigious Film Friendly Texas Certified Community designation," he said. Hall highlighted how this recognition could enhance job opportunities and visibility for Terrell.

Representative Keith Bell commended the city’s dedication to achieving this status, stating, “This notable honor involves a rigorous training and certification process.” Bell anticipates that this will bring new opportunities from the growing media industry in Texas.
