City of Houston Quality of Life Committee met March 3.

1. Welcoming Remarks – Chairman Julian Ramirez and Vice Chair Amy Peck

 2. Food Trucks (“Mobile Food Units”) – Current Tools and Opportunities 

a. Inspections and more – Houston Heath Department, Chief Sanitarian Renee Beckham 

b. HFD role in permitting, complaint process, and food truck park complaints – Houston Fire Department, Fire Marshal Marion Spann and Communications Director Brent Taylor 

c. Food trucks in residentially restricted neighborhoods – Legal Department, Paul Barnes, Sr. Asst. City Attorney 

3. Chapter 4 Ambulance Updates – Houston Health Department, EMS Program Supervisor Kevin Hart 

4. Public Comment – Public comment will be accepted in person only. Members of the public who wish to sign up to speak may do so by emailing atlarge1@houstontx.gov by 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 2, 2024, OR may simply be present at City Council Chambers during this item on the agenda. Public speakers will be called at their designated time per the agenda.
