Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz of Texas has been elected as Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Congressional Women’s Caucus. She will share leadership responsibilities with Congresswoman Emilia Sykes from Ohio. Together, they aim to continue the Caucus's mission of promoting bipartisan policies that benefit women and families nationwide.

De La Cruz and Sykes succeed Reps. Kat Cammack of Florida and Susie Lee of Nevada, who led the Caucus during the previous Congress.

De La Cruz expressed her commitment to bipartisan cooperation in her new role: “I am honored to be elected Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Congressional Women’s Caucus. At a time when families across America face real challenges, it is more important than ever to work across party lines to find meaningful solutions. I look forward to leading the Caucus alongside Congresswoman Sykes to support policies that empower women, strengthen families, and create greater opportunities for all.”

Sykes emphasized the importance of collaboration across political divides: “As the representative for one of the most bipartisan congressional districts in the country, it is an honor to be handed the gavel as the Co-Chair of the historic Bipartisan Women’s Caucus. It is as vital as ever that members of both political parties come together to enact real change for the American people. Just over half of all Americans are women, yet we make up less than 30% of the House of Representatives. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with so many amazing women across the political spectrum to make sure that women and girls are not left behind by our government.”

The Bipartisan Congressional Women's Caucus was established in 1977 with a focus on uniting female lawmakers from different political backgrounds to tackle issues such as economic opportunity, healthcare, education, and workforce development through collaborative policymaking.
