Southwest Management District Board of Directors met Jan. 27.
Here is the agenda provided by the board:
1. Determine quorum; call meeting to order.
2. Receive public comments. (A statement of no more than 3 minutes may be made on items of general relevance. There will be no yielding of time to another person. State law prohibits the Board Chair or members of the Board from commenting on any statement or engaging in dialogue without an appropriate agenda item being posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law. Comments should be directed to the entire Board, not individual members. 3. Approve Minutes of meeting held November 25, 2024.
4. Consider agreement with McCall Gibson Swedlund Barfoot PLLC to prepare annual financial report and audit.
5. Receive update from Finance Committee.
a. Receive Assessment Collection Report.
b. Receive monthly financial reports and approve payment of invoices; ratify payment of December invoices.
6. Discuss and consider board vacancies.
7. Receive update from the Comprehensive Planning Study.
8. Receive update from Public Safety.
9. Receive updates and recommendations from Business & Economic Development Committee.
a. Consider deposit for Liberty Fest Fireworks.
b. Consider sponsorship of the 2025 Shandong Fellowship Association of Southern USA Gala.
c. Consider sponsorship of the Celebration of Ban Tien’s Promotion to Chief of Metro PD Houston.
d. Consider sponsorship of the Malaysian Singaporean Association of Houston 35th Anniversary & Lunar New Year Celebration
e. Consider sponsorship for the 2025 AAREA Gala.
10. Receive updates and recommendations from Environmental & Urban Design Committee.
11. Receive Executive Director’s Report.
12. Adjourn.
