Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz from Texas has been reappointed as Vice Chair of the Housing and Insurance Subcommittee. This decision was made by Financial Services Chairman French Hill, continuing her leadership role from her first term into the new Congress. De La Cruz aims to use her extensive experience in the insurance industry to contribute to public policy solutions within the House Financial Services Committee.

"The work of this subcommittee is of critical importance, especially at a time when housing expenses have become the single highest monthly cost for many Americans," De La Cruz stated. She expressed her intention to collaborate with committee leadership to promote Republican strategies aimed at reducing costs through market-based solutions. She also thanked Chairman Hill for allowing her to continue serving in this capacity.

Chairman Hill praised De La Cruz's active participation during her initial two years in Congress, highlighting her involvement in various subcommittees including Housing and Insurance, Financial Institutions, and National Security. "As a Texan, she understands firsthand the importance of delivering results for the people of Texas, including ensuring Texans in rural areas have accessible and affordable housing," Hill remarked. He anticipates seeing her development within the committee as Vice Chair.

Currently serving her second term in the U.S. House of Representatives, Congresswoman De La Cruz is part of both the House Agriculture and Financial Service Committees. Within the Financial Services Committee, she holds positions on several subcommittees including Housing and Insurance as Vice Chair, Financial Institutions, and participates in tasks related to Monetary Policy, Treasury Market Resilience, and Economic Prosperity.
