Governor Greg Abbott has announced the reappointment of Aaron Pierce, Ph.D., to the Council on Sex Offender Treatment (CSOT). Dr. Pierce's term will extend until February 1, 2029. The CSOT is responsible for establishing treatment standards and overseeing the licensing of providers.
Dr. Aaron Pierce, based in Plano, serves as the president of Aaron Pierce PC and is also the clinical director at Clinical and Forensic Consulting Services in Waco. He currently chairs the Texas Council on Sex Offender Treatment. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Psychological Association, American Psychology - Law Association, Society for Police and Criminal Psychology, and the International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology.
Dr. Pierce holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University, a Master of Arts from University of Mary Hardin Baylor, and a Doctor of Philosophy from Capella University.
