HISD announces relocation of fall sports events due to storm damage

As the Houston Independent School District (HISD) prepares for the 2024-2025 fall sports season, families, community members, and alumni are encouraged to support student athletes, cheerleaders, bands, drill teams, and JROTC cadets at this year’s sporting events.

Several HISD sports campuses sustained damage from a derecho storm in May and Hurricane Beryl in July. Consequently, games originally scheduled for Delmar Stadium, Dyer Stadium, and Cowart Stadium have been relocated to Barnett or Butler Stadiums. Events scheduled at the Delmar Fieldhouse will proceed as planned.
