HISD is committed to the health and wellness of its scholars by making healthcare more accessible through the removal of cost barriers for families. The District has partnered with Hazel Health, a telehealth service that connects students with healthcare providers at the touch of a button.

Physical health services are available on-demand for various common ailments and are conducted virtually by state-licensed practitioners, all at no cost. Insurance is not required for HISD students to utilize Hazel Health.

Additionally, Hazel Health provides mental health services to address anxiety, depression, grief, academic stress, and other concerns, also free of charge.

Parents and caregivers must opt-in to the program by filling out an online consent form to use Hazel Health.
