WASHINGTON, D.C.— Congressman Troy E. Nehls (R-TX-22) has issued a statement following his vote in favor of H.R. 8070, the Servicemembers Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025. The legislation aims to enhance military strength, improve servicemembers' quality of life, and provide necessary tools and resources to address global threats.

“I am proud to vote in favor of the fiscal year 2025 NDAA, which provides for a 19.5% pay raise for junior enlisted servicemembers, combats the Biden Administration’s radical, woke ideology infused in the Pentagon, and restores the focus of our military on readiness, lethality, and deterrence,” said Congressman Nehls. “This legislation also increases oversight and cracks down on waste, fraud, and abuse within the Pentagon, saving tens of billions of dollars for American taxpayers.”
