The Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival is set to return for its 33rd season at the University of Houston's Moores School of Music from June 4 to June 22, 2024. The festival, a platform for classical and jazz music, promises intensive musical training for aspiring musicians and over 25 public performances for the community to enjoy.

Highlighted in the 2024 season are performances by acclaimed artists such as the Formosa Quartet, pianists Kenny Broberg, William Wolfram, and Vadym Kholodenko, who will grace the stage alongside the Festival Orchestra and Festival Chorus. Notably, Vadym Kholodenko, the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition winner, and Hans Graf, former music director of the Houston Symphony, will be among the distinguished artists leading the musical showcases.

The festival's marquee event, the League of American Orchestras 79th National Conference, will see a collaboration with the Houston Symphony at Jones Hall on June 8, featuring a performance by Vadym Kholodenko and the Festival Orchestra. Additionally, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell – Ima Hogg Young Artist Competition Finals on June 9 will showcase young talents competing for cash prizes and the opportunity to perform with the Houston Symphony.

Director Brian Kai Chin expressed his excitement, stating, "The Texas Music Festival is positioned at the forefront of contemporary professional music training programs." The festival aims to provide a platform for young professionals and emerging artists from across the nation to hone their craft and find inspiration.

The festival's diverse lineup includes chamber music performances, piano recitals, orchestral concerts, and jazz orchestras, offering a wide range of musical experiences for attendees. The performances will take place at various locations including Moores Opera House, Dudley Recital Hall, and Jones Hall in Houston.

Tickets for individual concerts and full festival packages are available for purchase online or through the Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts Box Office. General admission and student/senior discounts are offered for the different concert series, allowing music enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the talent and artistry showcased at the Texas Music Festival.

The festival continues its tradition of nurturing young talent and providing a platform for musical excellence, with Director Brian Kai Chin inviting music lovers to be part of this celebration of emerging professionals in the music industry.
