Favor, an on-demand delivery company based in Texas, has initiated a campaign named "Texpat Rescue Mission" to communicate the message that "Texas hospitality knows no bounds, and that Favor will go to any length to deliver for Texans." The company commenced the campaign with a documentary-style film and a socially-driven program.
As per a press release from Favor, the film for the campaign was produced by Austin-based marketing agency Preacher. It showcases a "Runner" (delivery driver) journeying 900 miles across Texas—through snow and up a mountain—to deliver food from The Original Black's Barbecue in Lockhart to a deserving Texan.
The press release further reveals that the social program linked with the "Texpat Rescue Mission" campaign encourages people to "Nominate a Texan"—be it current or former—who is worthy of a special delivery. The items for these special deliveries could range from food, flowers, lunch, coffee to other acts of kindness. The recipients of these deliveries need only exhibit "standout qualities" as contributors to their communities.
Rogge, Favor's senior director of Brand and Creative, stated in the press release, "As a homegrown brand, we know that Texas is more than just a state—it is a deeply rooted community and culture that you are always a part of, no matter where you go." He added that "At Favor, our Runners go above and beyond each and every day for our customers, and this mission is testament to the lengths we are willing to go to for Texans. This is just the beginning of our efforts of finding deserving community members and bringing a bit of Texas hospitality to life beyond our Texpat Rescue Mission."
According to the same press release, Favor was established in Austin in 2013 and currently operates in over 400 cities in Texas. It employs more than 100,000 Runners (delivery drivers). Since its inception, the company has completed more than 80 million "Favors"—which include restaurant meals, alcohol, groceries, and everyday essentials.
