The University of Houston has once again solidified its position as a leading institution in graduate education, with several of its programs ranked among the top in the nation in the 2024 U.S. News & World Report graduate program rankings. According to the report released today, 13 of UH's programs have secured spots in the top 50 nationwide, with a total of 17 programs in the top 50.
Among the top-ranked programs are several specialties from the UH Law Center, with Health Care Law, Part-Time Law, and Intellectual Property Law securing spots in the top 10 nationwide. Diane Z. Chase, UH senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, "Being acknowledged among the nation's top performers in these vital fields is truly gratifying and affirms the national prestige of these programs and the caliber of faculty, staff, and students."
In addition to the impressive rankings, UH has seen a significant increase in the number of graduate programs earning top 50 rankings since 2020. The university's commitment to delivering top-tier professional and graduate programs has been recognized, with the institution aiming to position students for success in their respective fields of study.
The U.S. News rankings cover professional school programs in various fields, including business, education, engineering, law, medicine, and nursing. The UH programs that have been recognized in the 2024 U.S. News rankings cover a wide range of disciplines, including Health Care Law, Petroleum Engineering, Trial Advocacy, and Speech-Language Pathology. The university has also been acknowledged in categories such as Best Business Schools, Best Health Schools, and Best Law Schools.
