Here are the minutes provided by the Committee:

A meeting of the Budget and Audit Committee of the Houston Firefighters’ Relief and Retirement Fund convened at the Fund offices at 4225 Interwood North Parkway on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 9:52 a.m. 

Committee members present were Brett R. Besselman, David O. Lantrip, Lisa R. Slagle, Arif Rasheed, and Gerard L. Daniels (alternate committee member). Committee member absent was Pete Ng (Committee Chair). Also present were Trustees Ed Llewellyn and Albertino Mays, and staff members Timothy Schauer (Executive Director), Claudia McInnis (Director of Finance and Administration), Dalia De La Cruz (Director of Member Services), Andrea Sharayha (Director of Human Resources), and Adam Smith (General Counsel). 

Brett R. Besselman, standing in for the Committee Chair, called the meeting to order at 9:52 a.m. and invited comments from the public. No comments were received. 

The Director of Finance and Administration reviewed the second quarter Fiscal year 2024 Fund expenses compared to the budget. 

The meeting adjourned at 9:56 a.m. on a motion by David O. Lantrip, seconded by Arif Rasheed. The motion carried.
