The City of Houston and the Houston Independent School District have announced the launch of the 2nd annual Truck Art Contest, inviting students to showcase their artistic talents while promoting environmental awareness. According to the City of Houston and Houston Independent School District, students are encouraged to submit poster artwork that reimagines ways to "reduce, reuse, and recycle."

In a bid to engage young minds in sustainability efforts, the winning poster from the contest will earn the prestigious honor of being displayed on a Solid Waste Management collection truck, bringing the message of environmental consciousness to the streets.

Interested participants must ensure their submissions reach the organizers by 5 p.m. on March 8, 2024. To take part in this creative initiative, students are required to fill out the entry form available at houstontx.gov/truckart, as stated by the City of Houston and Houston Independent School District.
