The city of Houston announced Houston's Mayor’s Office of Education and Youth Engagement has officially launched the "Another Step for Youth" podcast in collaboration with the city of Houston Youth Ambassadors, presenting an informative platform on World Children's Day. The youth-led initiative is dedicated to enhancing awareness and understanding of children's rights, serving as a valuable resource for the community. This initiative is part of Houston's commitment towards the enhancement of children's welfare.

Moving forward, let us delve into how this podcast works in engaging youths and fostering communication between different generations. In an effort towards youth involvement, the podcast fosters intergenerational conversations by engaging Houston leaders from various organizations such as United Against Human Trafficking, Cherish Our Children, Mental Health America of Greater Houston, Alief Votes, Houston Public Library, and the Nature Conservancy. Focused on the five goal areas of the Child Friendly Cities Initiative which concentrates on mental health, emergency preparedness, resource accessibility, and civic engagement directly linked to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Children; each episode contributes to promoting youth well-being. The initial episodes of "Another Step for Youth" are currently accessible, and the remaining episodes are scheduled for release in Dec. 2023 according to a press release by the city of Houston.

Now let us hear what key figures involved in this project have to say about it.
