Lineage celebrates grand opening of new Houston Coldport facility

Temperature-controlled industrial real estate investment trust (REIT) Lineage celebrated the grand opening of Houston Coldport, its newest facility in Houston. Located near the Jacintoport Terminal at Port Houston, Houston Coldport spans nearly 315,000 square feet and offers integrated and streamlined transportation and drayage operations.

Lineage presently employs a workforce of over 1,200 team members across its 19 facilities in Texas. Additionally, Houston Coldport has been operational since last month.

At the grand opening celebration, Lineage was joined by leaders from Boomerang Interests, ARCO Design/Build, and the Houston Port Authority which also featured a ribbon cutting. "The ribbon cutting marks the culmination of a four-year effort," said Eric M. Safko, ARCO Design/Build's CEO.

Safko further detailed that the facility boasts approximately 36,000 pallet positions, 192 QFR Zone pallet positions and is temperature-controlled by the EXPERT Refrigeration System.
