Sysco to acquire Edward Don & Company

Sysco Corporation has announced its plans to acquire Edward Don & Company (DON), a prominent food service equipment and supplies distributor based in Chicago, IL. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions, according to a press release by Sysco.

Sysco characterizes the acquisition of Edward Don & Company as an enhancement to its capabilities, providing a specialized Equipment and Supplies platform. DON offers distribution centers across the U.S., a skilled equipment and supplies sales team, and design and build expertise. DON will operate as an independent division within Sysco, retaining its existing leadership team and workforce.
