The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Houston (METRO) is gearing up for one of the most highly anticipated concerts of the year as thousands of fans prepare to flock to NRG Stadium for Beyoncé's shows this weekend. In order to accommodate the large number of concert-goers, METRO has expanded its fleet and is offering various transportation options to and from the venue. This is an effort to alleviate the expected congestion on Houston's typically busy roads and freeways.

According to Houston National Public Radio (NPR) station KUHF, METRO will be opening its special events parking at METRORail's Fannin South parking lot, located about two miles south of the stadium. This alternative parking option comes at a reduced price of $20 per night, compared to the $40 charged at NRG's parking lots. Additionally, fans who park at the Fannin South lot will have access to the Fannin South Red Line Station, making it convenient for them to reach the stadium.

METRO has also announced the deployment of their "Beyhive" buses, named after Beyoncé's dedicated fanbase. These buses will be available to transport fans to and from the concert venue. To ensure the safety and efficiency of transportation during the event, METRO will increase law enforcement presence and train availability.

Beyoncé's shows at NRG Stadium are part of her ongoing Renaissance world tour in support of her seventh studio album released in July 2022. With hits like "Break My Soul" and "Cuff It," the concert is expected to attract a massive crowd. Thanks to the efforts of METRO and its expanded fleet, fans can look forward to a smoother and more convenient transportation experience as they head to the concert to see their favorite superstar in action.
