The second annual "Women & Wine Empowerment Weekend" will take place Aug. 12-13. In response to the announcement, Women & Wine Empowerment CEO Tiffany Michelle expressed her hope for the event.

“It is my goal to provide Houston with an unforgettable weekend that will provide inspiration to each person that enters the building. I am elated to provide an up close and personal experience for guests to interact with those that they are inspired by," Michelle said.

According to the release, the event was hosted in Atlanta last year but will be moving to Houston for 2023 and held at the Norris Conference Center in the City Centre. Reportedly, several “notable speakers” will be present, and activities include wine tasting, shopping, networking and more.

The weekend is advertised as an empowering experience in which speakers will inspire and create an atmosphere that encourages “advancing in life," according to the release. The event is for women looking for a transformation regarding their career, business, health or other aspects of their life and is described as “not your typical women’s empowerment event.” Although a women’s event, the weekend is co-ed, says the release and will feature some male speakers and attendees. The release additionally urges those planning to attend to come to the event ready to absorb information and tools for success.

More information about the weekend can be found on the event’s website, where tickets are available for purchase. The “about” page of the website gives an overview of the event's purpose and emphasizes the importance of attendees leaving with valuable connections and new tools for success. After the event, there will also be a happy hour in the Women & Wine Lounge with speakers at the event, according to the website.
