The Brays Oaks Management District Beautification and Urban Design Committee held a meeting via Zoom video conference on May 04, 2023, at 1:30 PM.
District Board and Committee members present: Cindy Chapman, Ralph Rieger, Marsha Fisk Staff members present: Xavier Herrera, Cosme Garcia
Public present: Erin Lewandowski – Price Wagener, Sonia Chavez – SMC Logistics, Evan Rodriguez – SMC Logistics, Stephen Polnaszek, Aimee Turney – Office of Texas Rep. Gene Wu, Brenda Jackson, Sylvester Reeder III – Houston One Voice, Gerda Gomez, Kate Brusegaard, Kim Hatton
Committee Chair Chapman called the meeting to order at 1:32 PM, and the committee meeting adjourned at 2:01 PM.

2. Public Comment
a. No public comments were made.
3. Minutes of 04/06/23 B&UD Committee Meeting
a. Committee meeting minutes were submitted for reference and review.
4. Receive a report on landscaping and porter services from Price Wagener and SMC Logistics for the month of March, and proposals for recommendation to BOMD Board for consideration.
a. Landscaping - Price Wagener
i. Ms. Lewandowski presented the report for Price Wagener for the month of April. Full report available in committee packet. Her report included the completed repair of an irrigation line at S. Gessner and W. Bellfort. The damage to the line was caused during the installation of a Flock camera pole. Committee Chair Chapman inquired if Flock would pay for the repairs. Executive Director Herrera advised he will be in contact with Flock for reimbursement. Ms. Lewandowski advised that replanting should occur the week of May 9th. Committee Chair Chapman inquired if forecasted rain would delay the planting. Ms. Lewandowski advised that typically rain does not delay planting.
b. Porter Services - SMC Logistics
i. Ms. Chavez presented the report for SMC Logistics for the month of April. Full report available in committee packet.
5. Field Service Operator Report – April
a. Mr. Rodriguez presented the FSO report which is available in the committee packet. Mr. Rodriguez answered questions regarding his method of gathering issues and reporting as part of his presentation.
6. Discussion, Updates and Recommendations
a. Parks & Facilities in BOMD
i. Committee Chair Chapman advised civic community centers will be switching over to their summer programs in June.
b. Willow Waterhole Greenway Conservancy
i. Mr. Polnaszek advised that LeRon with TIRZ 25 mentioned that the TIRZ plans to add an item to their 2024 budget for a study related to the construction of a bridge over S. Main that would connect to Willow Waterhole.
ii. Committee Chair Chapman advised that trail work around Westbury Lake has commenced.
