Houston automotive customization shop 713 Motoring traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, for Rapper Rick Ross' second annual Promise Land Car & Bike Show. Big Ash, CEO of 713 Motoring, said the event was a huge success, and that rapper Rick Ross's role in the event was significant and much appreciated.
"This car show is great for connecting and networking which makes it different because normally the shows are all about the cars but, with this show you have the chance to rub elbows with people that can change your life," Big Ash said in a news release. "It's easy to tell Rick Ross enjoys helping others, he often buys cars or invests in businesses of those attending the show. It's really a genius idea to mix the world of hip-hop with the custom automotive world and giving it a family reunion vibe."
According to the news release from Spitfirehiphop, Houston's premier automotive customization shop, 713 Motoring, made its way to Atlanta for the Annual Promise Land Car & Bike Show, an event hosted by Ross. Represented by its CEO, the team displayed an impressive show of modern, all-black vehicles, earning the Hustler of the Year award for 2023, complete with a custom key and chain. The release reports that 713 Motoring has customized many celebrity automobiles including Slim Thug, Big Tho and DJ Chose, among many others, the news release said.
Big Ash said this award followed months of meticulous planning and managing complex logistics, including more than $10,000 spent on fuel, but felt that the victory fully validated their efforts. Ross hailed the achievement, asserting, "The fleet speaks for itself. You earned this!"
713 Motoring is looking to expand to a new facility to accommodate its shop and collision center. Additionally, the release said that a new collaboration with Ross is underway.
According to National Today, Ross was born in 1976, and began his hip-hop journey in the early 2000s. His breakthrough came in 2006 with the single "Hustlin'", catapulting him to fame. He emerged as one of rap's most prominent figures in the following decade, with many appreciating his unique, slower rap style. His significant contributions to rap music have left an indelible mark on the genre.
According to Atlanta News First, the event was held at Ross’s residence and featured performances by famous artists including Ross himself, Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. The huge event reportedly sparked controversy as local residents launched a lawsuit citing traffic congestion and noise issues. However, Ross maintains that the show positively impacts the state by generating considerable revenue and drawing people nationwide.
