Southwest Management District Board of Directors met March 27.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

1. Determine quorum; call meeting to order.

2. Receive public comments. (A statement of no more than 3 minutes may be made on items of general relevance. There will be no yielding of time to another person. State law prohibits the Board Chair or members of the Board from commenting on any statement or engaging in dialogue without an appropriate agenda item being posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law. Comments should be directed to the entire Board, not individual members. Engaging in verbal attacks or comments intended to insult, abuse, malign or slander any individual shall be cause for termination of time privileges).

3. Approve Minutes of regular meeting held February 27, 2023; and special meeting held March 23, 2023.

4. Receive update and recommendations from Finance Committee

a. Receive Assessment Collection Report.

b. Receive monthly financial report and approve payment of invoices.

5. Receive update and recommendations from Business and Economic Development Committee.

a. Consider sponsorship request from HPD’s Lion Dance Team.

b. Consider sponsorship request from Houston Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association.

c. Consider sponsorship request from Houston Asia Town Tours.

d. Consider request from Houston One Voice for a letter of support regarding an Environmental Justice Brownfields grant Application to EPA for landfill redevelopment planning.

6. Receive update from Comprehensive Planning Committee.

7. Receive update and recommendations from Public Safety Committee

a. Consider purchase of kitchen supplies for S. Gessner command station.

b. Consider support funding for the Harris County DA Gun Safe Program.

8. Receive update and recommendations from Environmental and Urban Design Committee.

a. Consider work order to repair the damaged back flow.

b. Consider work order to repaint the mast arms.

c. Consider work order to remove roses affected by rose rosete.

9. Receive Executive Director’s Report.

10. Adjourn.
