He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Ryan and Marguerite Ryan; and his brother John Ryan. He is survived by : his friend Mike Griffin (Irish Pub); his wife Jane; his sister Mary Turtle; his brothers-in-law, Robert (Jane Schnepel) of Las Vegas, NV, Glenn (Ann Riordan) of Denver, CO and Tim of Kansas City, KS.; his children, Tom Ryan, Mike Ryan, Shannon Herr (Ryan) and Sheila Tidwell (Ryan) of Houston; his children-in-law, Amy Ryan (Mauldin) of Houston, Erin Ryan (Hinzmann) of Dripping Springs and Robert Herr of Houston; and his grandchildren, Ryan Herr, Jake Herr, Erica Herr, Mark Tidwell, Noah Tidwell, Lucy Tidwell, Meredith Ryan, Luke Ryan and Mackenzie Ryan. He is also survived by his 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 11th 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home - Champion (3410 Cypress Creek Pkwy, Houston, TX 77068). A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, April 11th 2023 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A mass of christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 12th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church (7810 Cypresswood Dr, Spring, TX 77379).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in his name be directed to Easter Seals of Greater Houston C/O Development Department 4888 Loop Central Drive, Suite 200 Houston, Texas 77081.
