She was predeceased by : her parents, Lawrence Zapalac and Francis Zapalac; her brothers, Lawrence and Charles Zapalac; and her daughter Rhonda Small.
She is survived by : her sons, Ronald (Michele), Robert and Richard Kirkland (Michelle); her grandchildren, Michael Kirkland (Claudia), Christina Leach (Matt), Sydney Jobe (Thomas), Crystal McQueen (Jeff), Stephen Small (Lisette) and Mikayla Kirkland; her great grandchildren, Justin, Matthew, Natalie, Dylan (Nina), Raven, Colton, Austin, Olivia, Ben, Corey and Elias; her great great grandchild Jamison; and her siblings, Marcy Melner and John Zapalac (Wendy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5th 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the American Heritage Funeral Home (10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 5th 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, April 5th 2023 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
