Commission Action: Approved the September 8, 2022 Houston Archeological and Historical Commission (HAHC) meeting minutes.
Motion by Commissioner Cosgrove, seconded by Jones. Motion carried with McNiel abstaining.

G. COMMENTS FROM THE HAHC
Commissioners Yap, Cosgrove and McNiel commented about prior owners’ allowing deterioration of historic structures and asked about possible corrective measures.
H. HISTORIC PRESERVATION OFFICER’S REPORT
Roman McAllen reported that it is his third-year anniversary presenting to HAHC. Streamlining of staff processes include Houston Public Works’ releasing single trade permit holds. Staffing had been up but is low at this time. A Real Estate course is planned for 2023. A Freedman’s Town grant is in progress. Yasmin Arslan will be back from maternity leave in early November. Three Historic Guidelines are still in queue, pending staffing.
