It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Rushing Jones of Houston, Texas, born in McComb, Mississippi, who passed away on December 20, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Drew Kirkland Rushing and Susannah Counsell Rushing; her husband Arthur Theron Jones; her siblings, James, Vernon, Melvin Rushing and Evelyn Rushing Bridges; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Henning and Steven Jones.
She is survived by : her brothers, Sam and Arlen Rushing; and her children, Donalyn Jones Pickel, Art Jones, Jr. and Alan Jones. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 27th 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel (1101 Antoine Dr, Houston, TX 77055). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 27th 2022 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
