It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lois Ellen McCullar (Houston, Texas), born in Palestine, Texas, who passed away on December 22, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Thomas Edward Meehan and Vada Kelly Meehan; her husband Harold F. McCullar; her sisters, Lucille Cook (Charles) of Whitehouse and Claire Lauber (late Ron) of Birmingham; and her children, Amy Goldknopf (Ira) of The Woodlands, Teresa Kopycinski (John) of Damon, Cathie Asaro (Joe) of Austin, Paul McCullar (Tammy) of Ingram and Jean Northey (Jack) of Katy. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be held on Friday, December 30th 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church (4213 Mangum Rd, Houston, TX 77092). A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 30th 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Friday, December 30th 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church Society of St Vincent de Paul, Covenant House or Saint Mary's Seminary.
