G&A Partners' Allen on new regional sales head Melhorn: 'An exceptional leader with experience both in the HCM industry and the Houston area'

Houston-based national professional employer organization G&A Partners has tabbed Mary Drake Melhorn as its Houston regional sales director, a company-issued press release said. 

G&A said that Melhorn brings approximately a decade of experience working with business owners in the Houston area to the position.

Hailing from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, the release said, Melhorn is a graduate of Texas A&M University (TAMU) who began her career in human capital management sales in Houston. 

“Throughout my career, I have developed a passion for building partnerships with trusted advisors and the execution of process-centric strategies,” Melhorn said, per her new employer. 

She’ll oversee G&A’s team of sales professionals, as well as help with new business growth, the release said.

G&A chief revenue officer John G. Allen said in the release that the company is pleased to have Melhorn on board given her wealth of experience. 

“In Mary Drake, we gain an exceptional leader with experience both in the HCM industry and the Houston area,” Allen said. “We’re fortunate she is joining G&A and excited for the growth opportunities that lie ahead.” 

According to Melhorn’s LinkedIn profile, her professional career began with New Jersey-based human resources (HR) management services company ADP where she held the positions of elite district manager and sales executive.

After nearly eight years with ADP, she then worked for management consulting company Gartner as an enterprise account executive before she joined G&A. 

Melhorn attended Prosper High School in North Texas before matriculating at TAMU, per her LinkedIn. 

G&A’s office footprint stretches from the U.S. to Latin America, the release said.
