She was predeceased by : her parents, Paul Walker and Francis Houchins Walker; and her brother Bill Walker (Millard Detter). She is survived by : her husband Virgil Hammack; her sister Carol Runde (Leslie); her daughters, Shelley Selden (Pat) and Wendy Hess (Guy); her grandchildren, Rodney Edwards, Brandon Nulsen, Jared Marcum (Brandy), Cole Hess, Guy Hess IV (Jennifer) of Noah Hess, BJ and Gina Chandler; and her great grandchildren, Taylor, Annabelle, Jensen, Brylee, Slade, Jett, Falyn, Faith, Chandler and Ava Grace. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13th 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home (9926 Jones Rd, Houston, TX 77065). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 13th 2022 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, December 14th 2022 at 11:30 AM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
