A Dallas-based golf-centric entertainment and event company has announced that its second Texas location will open on Friday, per a press release.
Drive Shack, Inc. said in the release that Puttery Houston will host a grand opening at noon.
"As a Houston native myself, I couldn’t be more excited for this opening,” Hana Khouri, the company’s president and chief executive officer (CEO), said. "Houston is already internationally renowned for its cutting-edge entertainment and culinary innovations, but I can guarantee that Puttery will offer an experience unlike any other in the city.”
Puttery Houston is located at 818 Washington Ave. in the Sawyer Yards mixed-use community.
According to Drive Shack, its newest property is a two-story, 23,000-square-foot venue consisting of numerous bars, three nine-hole putting courses and a rotating cast of DJs in addition to live music.
Per the release, guests will have their pick from three tech-enabled themed courses, namely, Lodge, which transports players to the Rocky Mountains; Library, which is equipped with bookshelves and a globe; and Conservatory, which is devoted to the great outdoors.
Depending on the day, Puttery Houston is open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., the release said.
Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter.
Drive Shack added that aside from being its second venue in the Lone Star State, Puttery Houston is the fourth to open nationwide.
Founded in the early 21st century, the company's existing locations are in The Colony in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; Washington, D.C. and Charlotte, with seven other U.S. cities slated to have their own Puttery franchises.
