Young Ja Lee of Pasadena, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the age of 78. Young was born April 23, 1944 in Seoul, South Korea to Bok Man Choi and Soo Oon Choi. Young was the youngest of three children. She married her husband, Chang, on December 15, 1972, in Seoul, Korea.

Young had a heart for God and loved singing His hymns and praising Him daily. Her love for the scripture was endless and she prayed for everyone. She was an amazing wife, mother (umma), and grandmother (halmoni) and she couldn't be happier in that role. She loved her family especially her two grandchildren, Madison and Henry. She held them tight as much as she could and always enjoyed their hugs and kisses.

Young is survived by her husband, Chang Ha Lee of Pasadena, Texas; brother, Tae Bong Choi and wife Noh Sook Choi of Houston, Texas; sister, Ann Beard and late husband Ronald Beard of Nacogdoches, Texas. Young is also survived by her only child, Jae Lee and wife Jina Lee of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service for Young will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Grand View Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
