With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hortencia Castro of Houston, Texas, who passed away on August 14, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Beatrice Gonzalez and Raymond Trevino; her husband Valentine Castro; and her son Raymond Castro. She is survived by : her children, Valentine Castro Jr., Nancy Lopez, Beatrice Trevino, Carey Gonzalez and Jackie Castro; and her sisters, Connie Padilla and Dalia Martinez. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, August 18th 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 19th 2022 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, August 19th 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Brookside Memorial Park (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
