It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alice Ruth Hodge (Houston, Texas), born in Edgewood, Texas, who passed away on July 19, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, John Barney Winn and Alice Dollahite of Virginia; her children, Alice, John Warren Hodge of Houston and James Robert Hodge of Houston; her husband H. Wayne Hodge; her grandchildren, Andrew Warren Hodge (Sarah), Paul Stewart Hodge (Lizzy), Hunter Wayne Hodge, Hannah Marie Hodge and Hope Elizabeth Hodge; her great grandchildren, Brett Hodge, Charlotte Hodge, Kinsley Hodge and Grant Hodge; and her caregivers, Daisy, Nadia, Enita, Beatrix, Beatriz, Landa and Kala. She was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, and cousins as her mother was the youngest of 11 children.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 22nd 2022 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home (13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079). A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 23rd 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tallowood Baptist Church (555 Tallowood Rd, Houston, TX 77024).
