With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Cortez (Houston, Texas), who passed away on June 13, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome t Houston Daily reports o send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his son Christopher Cortez; his parents, Julia Stuart Cortez and John Cortez; his brothers, Eddie Cortez and John Gilbert Medinilla; and his niece Christine Meza Del Campo.

He is survived by : his sisters, Raquel Cortez of Commerce, CA, Irene Meza (Paul) of Houston, TX and Rebecca Loper (Carl) of Houston, TX; and his former wife Otelia "Tillie" Cortez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21st 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heights Funeral Home (1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, TX 77008). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd 2022 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038).
