The Collins family of Tomball has released details on the funerals for patriarch Mark Collins and his four grandsons, Houston CBS affiliate KHOU reported.
Authorities believe that the 66-year-old Collins and the children – siblings Waylon Collins, 18; Carson Collins, 16; and Hudson Collins, 11; and the boys' 11-year-old paternal cousin, Bryson Collins – were killed at the elder Collins' ranch in Centerville by escaped convicted murderer Gonzalo Lopez, the station previously reported, per Houston Daily.
As he and his relatives prepare to say goodbye, Glenn Collins told KHOU that the family remains steadfast in their faith amidst the tragedy that unfolded earlier this month.
"My short message is: God is still God and we're not – and there's a purpose in this, no doubt," Glenn Collins said, per the station.
Glenn Collins was a sibling to Mark Collins.
KHOU reported that the family will hold a public visitation at Houston Northwest Church at 19911 State Hwy. 249 in Houston on Friday (June 10) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., to be followed the next day (June 11) by a public funeral service at Champion Forest Baptist Church at 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd. in Houston at 10 a.m.
According to the station, the interment will be strictly limited to family members.
The community that Mark Collins and his grandsons were a part of banded together to grieve with and lend support to the loved ones they left behind.
Houston Daily reported that a GoFundMe page raised more than $200,000 as of Monday (June 6) and several businesses in Tomball have donated portions of their revenues to help defray the family's funeral expenses.
The Tomball Independent School District (TISD) said that the four boys attended their schools, with the eldest having just graduated from Tomball High School.
