Southwest Management District Board of Directors met April 25.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

1. Determine quorum; call meeting to order.

2. Receive public comments. (A statement of no more than 3 minutes may be made on items of general relevance. There will be no yielding of time to another person. State law prohibits the Board Chair or members of the Board from commenting on any statement or engaging in dialogue without an appropriate agenda item being posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law. Comments should be directed to the entire Board, not individual members. Engaging in verbal attacks or comments intended to insult, abuse, malign or slander any individual shall be cause for termination of time privileges.)

3. Approve Minutes of meeting held March 28, 2022.

4. Receive Assessment Collection Report.

5. Receive monthly financial report and approve payment of invoices.

6. Receive update and recommendations from Business and Economic Development Committee.

a. Consider marketing program with KPRC-TV for promoting the July 4th Festival and area restaurants.

7. Receive update and recommendations from Public Safety Committee.

a. Consider request to order multilingual Take, Lock and Hide parking signs and No Trespassing signs.

8. Receive update and recommendations from Environmental and Urban Design Committee.

a. Consider support letter concerning Ruffino Hills reclamation.

b. Consider price increase for the District’s landscaping maintenance for 2022 from Price Wagener.

c. Consider task order with SMC Logistics for tree trimming at the three signature bus shelters on Bellaire.

d. Consider task order with Price Wagener for irrigation repairs in the District.

e. Consider task order with Price Wagener to replace a backflow on Beechnut.

f. Consider task orders with SMC Landscape Services for irrigation repairs on Bellaire Corridor.

g. Consider task order from SMC Landscape Services to replace season colors on the three planters on Bellaire.

9. Receive Executive Director’s Report.

10. Convene Executive Session pursuant to Section 551.074, Texas Government Code, to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee and board member positions.

11. Reconvene in Open Session and authorize appropriate action regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee and board member positions.

12. Reconsideration of approval of number of board positions and the appointment of directors.

13. Adjourn.
