He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Schumann and Alice Schumann (Pisklak); his brother-in-law Keith Brooks; his grandparents, Emil, Rosie Pisklak, Max, Hattie and Anna Schumann; and his great-uncle Paul E. Schumann.

He is survived by : his uncles, Ben (Margaret Tydlacka), Herbert (Frances Schumann), Max (Hilda Schumann) and William (Dolores Schumann); his aunt Dorothy Richie; his cousins, Mary Lynn George, Margaret Ann Keith, Ruthie Barron, Patsy Blackburn, Elizabeth Allen, Evelynn Pubchara, Charlie, Will, Ava, Marley Shini, Cole Pilat, Ynez Maxey and Danny Hernandez; his siblings, Debbie Brooks of College Station, Rebecca Braeuer (Ron) of Moulton, Sandy Turner (Glenn) of Sugar Land, Kathleen Neuland (Ted) of Magnolia and Jeff Schumann (Stephanie) of Richmond; and his nieces and nephews, Richard Brooks, Joseph Maxey (Noelia), Colleen Pubchara (Arnold), Pamela Maxey, Nick Turner (Kathleen), Cameron Turner, Meghan Neuland, Jordan Merkel (Trey) and Sara Schumann.

Visitation was held on Saturday, March 26th 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (705 St Theresa Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77498). A rosary was held on Saturday, March 26th 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral mass was held on Saturday, March 26th 2022 at 12:00 PM at the Theresa Catholic Church (705 St Theresa Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77498). A burial was held on Saturday, March 26th 2022 at 4:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery (Latium, TX 77835).
