He was predeceased by : his parents, Alvino Martinez and Concha Martinez; and his siblings, Joe, Conrado "Coney", Henry, Encarnation "Chona" Rodriguez, Emilia Gomez, Andrea Cortez and Salome Cortez.

He is survived by : his wife Esther Martinez; his children, Jesse Martinez, Jr. (Hawaii) and Darlene E. Gonzalez (Victor); his grandchildren, Ashley Gebhardt and Juno Espinosa (Destinee); and his step-grandchildren, Victor Gonzalez Jr., Savannah Gonzalez and Including.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29th 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Crespo (4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 30th 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crespo Funeral Home - Broadway Chapel (4136 Broadway St, Houston, TX 77087). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, March 30th 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Forest Park (6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023).
