'Valuable asset to the team': Spath joins Datagration as new executive advisor

Dr. Jeff Spath was confirmed as Datagration Solutions Inc.'s new executive advisor on Jan. 18. He brings extensive experience and will be a part of the company's decision making process. 

As a part of Datagration's senior leadership, Spath contributes many years of operational and technical experience in reservoir characterization, numerical and analytical modeling and enhanced oil recovery.

“We are thrilled to have Jeff on board as an executive advisor. His technical expertise and well-established relationships will be a valuable asset to the team," Peter Bernard said in a press release. "Jeff’s network and industry contacts are unique and will assist us to strengthen and position Datagration’s market presence.”

Spath also expressed excitement at the new partnership.

"I am excited to be joining the talented Datagration team to assist in the development and delivery of their unique and valuable solutions to E&P companies" Dr. Spath said in a press release. "Their one-of-a-kind combination of data integration, analytics and modernized AI/ML applications will significantly improve process efficiency." 

Spath in the past served as the president of Schlumberger’s Reservoir Management Group and was the CEO of the Texas Oil & Gas Institute. His experience also includes the position of distinguished lecturer for the Society of Petroleum Engineers. It is anticipated that Spath will help out with the ongoing creation of PetroVisor’s platform-native apps. Datagration created the PetroVisor program. 

Datagration's goal is to enable oil and gas companies to combine model data and other insights in order to make decisions every day, according to a press release. Spath is a former Texas A&M Petroleum Engineering Chair, amongst his other experience. In 2014, Spath was also elected as the president of SPE International. 

Datagration's employees include data scientists, engineers and technologists, according to a press release. The company performs services such as data analysis, benchmarking, internal collaboration and financial analysis.
