She was predeceased by : her husband A. G. Shelton; and her sister Wanda Baker. She is survived by : her children, Tina Jayroe (Kurt Hirshberger), Lisa Rogers (Calvin), Alynn Nelson (Murray) and Allen Shelton (Christine); her children-in-law, Carolyn Tusing and Chris Tusing; her grandchildren, Josh Jayroe (Tiffany), Ben Rogers, James Nelson, Shelbi Nelson (Trevor), Ian Nelson, Catherine Hicks (Will) and Kaylee Shelton (Cade); her great grandchildren, Tristan Krause, River and Walker Hicks; her brothers, Sammy Knight (Linda) and Orval Knight (Karen); and her brother-in-law Gene Baker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6th 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 7th 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
