Scottsdale, Arizona-based Asian casual dining restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s announced that it has opened a new location in Houston, furthering its expansion in Texas.

A news release published on the website Businesswire said that P.F. Chang’s opened a 6,507-square-foot bistro located at 5251 Westheimer Rd. in Houston’s Galleria Park.

“P.F. Chang’s provides a destination for guests to host events and celebrations, from holidays to birthdays to evenings with friends and family, and we are excited for this new location to bring our immersive Asian dining experience to even more people,” Damola Adamolekun, the eatery’s CEO said in the release. “We look forward to providing moments and meals our Houston guests are sure to remember.”

Adjacent to The Galleria, the establishment has a seating capacity of 342, including indoor and outdoor seating areas, and is open Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Like other P.F. Chang’s locations, the Galleria Park restaurant’s interior is emblazoned with the chain’s ubiquitous murals, including warrior girls holding swords painted with “Houston” and “Texas” in Mandarin characters.

The menu includes Chang’s spicy chicken, Mongolian beef and Chang’s lettuce wraps, with seasonal items also available, the release said.

It added that the Galleria Park branch replaces the now-defunct Highland Village location, which shuttered after 25 years in business.

The Highland Village staff has been relocated to the new establishment, according to the company.

PaperCity Magazine reported that the opening of the Galleria Park branch is part of a nationwide brand refresh.

P.F. Chang’s said in the release that all existing establishments are slated to undergo upgrades that will feature an upscale ambiance including new music, lighting, décor, uniforms and menu presentation.

The chain was founded in 1993 by Philip Chiang and Paul Fleming.

It has more than 200 locations in the U.S. and more than 95 eateries in more than 25 countries worldwide.
